Cevis

Cevis token

A Shadar-kai rogue who came up through the trade as a hired blade. Composed to the point of coldness — never raises his voice, never lets a situation run him — and works to a code: you don’t steal from your own.

Full rules text for each is on the Roll20 sheet.

Spy (Hired Killer). Works to a professional code and is paying down an old debt to a benefactor.

  • Personality. Always has a plan for when things go wrong. Always calm, whatever the situation — never raises his voice or lets emotion take the wheel.
  • Ideal. Honour. Doesn’t steal from others in the trade. (Lawful)
  • Bond. Trying to pay off an old debt owed to a generous benefactor.
  • Flaw. — (not recorded on the sheet)

Active, 2nd level. Roguish Archetype is chosen at 3rd level and is not yet set.

Location: A murdered family’s farmhouse on the Tradeway, two days south of Fairhill. Condition: Full hit points. Both Raven Queen teleports available. Carrying: Leather, rapier, shortbow with 17 arrows, thieves’ tools. A share in roughly 830 gp. Open threads:

  • An old debt to an unnamed benefactor. Nothing on his sheet says who holds it, and he has told nobody in the party. He is now carrying more coin than he has ever held.
  • Criminal Contact — a reliable liaison into a criminal network, reachable over distance and entirely unused so far.
  • Corian’s five-way split was agreed for the keep only; the road treasure is unclaimed.
  • Corian has released anyone who wants to take their coin and leave at Fairhill, and expects someone to. Cevis always has a plan for when things go wrong; he has not said whether this is one.
  • The cache at the leucrotta lair, four days back. Knows (exclusive): His nightly hundred-foot sweeps are why three encounters went the party’s way — he found the leucrotta tracks, spotted the ambusher lying in the grass before it moved, and located the stirge roost with the stirges still asleep in it. He is also the only one who saw what Corian looked like when he recognised Talon at the fire.
